Where it started...

Early in my career over a Saturday morning coffee, a friend confided the challenges she was experiencing around her work culture and with the leaders within her organization. She described a lack of trust coupled with managers who struggled with skills around staff development.

This conversation illuminated the rare nature of leadership support I received during formative years of my career. My friend hadn’t found strong mentors or an investment in her talent like I had and was looking for new opportunities quickly. In contrast, the confidence I gained from hands-on training, coaching around people management and leadership, and content skill development catapulted me into growth opportunities internally and externally.

As I moved on to other leadership positions, the divide between my experience and my peers’ dissatisfied one grew exponentially. Friends and colleagues discussed management challenges with me in droves because they didn’t have the right support in-house. Over time, my years of experience and ongoing training enabled me to become a highly skilled and sought after leader and coach. My determination to help organizations adopt a strengths based culture and enable individuals to become more effective leaders intensified, and thus Kahn Consultants was born. We help people realize great leadership and team culture isn’t luck, it’s learned.
